In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks visited the Early Connections Learning Center downtown to participate in Read Across America Day.
Aaron King and Shane Malcolm read Dr. Seuss' "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut" to classrooms of toddlers and grade school students.
"I always enjoy getting out in the community and spending time with the next generation," said King. "I had a blast, and I'll have to visit my new friends in the near future. A special thank you to Early Connections Learning Center for having us!"
"I had the opportunity to read to some of the youngest members of the Colorado Springs community in celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday," said Malcolm of his visit. "I personally love reading and it was great to share my love for reading with them. I really enjoyed this time with them and the chance the Switchbacks has given me to serve the community."
Early Connections Learning Center is the oldest nonprofit child care organization in Colorado. They have been delivering comprehensive, high-quality, affordable early childhood care and education to children from families of limited means in the Pikes Peak Region since 1897.
