Colorado Springs, CO (September 8, 2017) – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC officially announced the signings of Aj Ajeakwa and Shawn Chin via free agency.
Ajeakwa, 26, joined San Antonio this past offseason after having spent the 2016 season with Orange County. Ajeakwa has played in 15 matches for San Antonio this season totaling 985 minutes scoring three goals. He spent part of his collegiate soccer career at Chico State University where he earned All-CCAA Second Team honors and was named the Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2012.
"I'm excited to be a part of the Switchbacks organization," said Ajeakwa on joining the club. "I'm ready to help the Switchbacks secure a playoff spot and make a good post-season run."
Chin, 28, joined San Antonio during their 2016 inaugural season where he made 17 appearances logging 821 minutes scoring three goals and adding one assist.
