South Georgia comes into the match with a 2-3-1 record (W-L-D), whereas Union Omaha brings in a 2-0-1 (W-L-D) record. Key Ingredients
Striker Sebastián Vivas found the lone goal scored by Tormenta FC in the last match, the inaugural USL Jägermeister Cup match hosted at Tormenta Stadium, making Vivas a key component to Saturday’s match. Vivas has scored one goal in four of the five matches played by Tormenta FC in April, proving him to be an intense threat to keepers on the pitch.
Midfielder Pedro Fonseca was named to the USL Jägermeister Cup Team of the Round for his impressive number of duels won, accurate passes, and assists on attempted shots. Fonseca’s skillful approach to the pitch will pose a formidable challenge to Omaha. Fonseca has netted one goal in April and tallied an impressive three assists.
Defender Callum Stretch, a first-year professional player, has quickly risen to the task of maintaining the back line. During the match against Charlotte, Stretch had almost 90% passing accuracy and had many pivotal defensive moments in the match. Stretch made his debut goal of the season in April, scoring against Miami FC during the third round of the U.S. Open Cup.
Foe’s Formula
Steevan Dos Santos, a striker with Union Omaha, has potential to force Tormenta keepers to make skillful saves. Dos Santos was the top goal scorer for Omaha in the 2023 season and spent two seasons with championship side Tampa Bay Rowdies.
