STATESBORO, Ga. – June 28, 2024 – South Georgia Tormenta FC will travel to Fresno, California, to face Central Valley Fuego FC. The match will kick off at 11:00 p.m. ET Saturday, June 29, at Fresno State Stadium.

South Georgia enters Saturday’s match looking to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC. Central Valley comes in after a 1-1 draw against the Richmond Kickers. The last encounter between Tormenta and Fuego took place in March for Tormenta’s home opener.
Key Ingredients
In Tormenta’s last match, forward Sebastian Vivas and center back Jake Dengler each scored a goal for Tormenta, contributing to the team’s display on the field. Last month, Vivas was named Player of the Month, acknowledging his exceptional skills on the field.
Dengler’s performance not only helped the team score an additional goal, but his efforts were recognized as he was once again named the USL League One Team of the Week for a second consecutive time.
Midfielder Mason Tunbridge has proven his strength on the pitch, assisting Dengler’s goal and making key plays to protect the backline and push attacking plays. While Tunbridge is a newer face on Tormenta’s team, he has quickly integrated himself seamlessly into Head Coach Ian Cameron’s plans to find wins and net as many goals as possible.

In Fuego’s last match, newcomer Alfredo Midence scored the team’s goal. We predict he will attempt to score more goals as he continues to solidify his presence on the field.
