STATESBORO, Ga. – July 15, 2024 – South Georgia Tormenta FC faces off with Charlotte Independence in the USL Jägermeister Cup on the road at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at the American Legion Stadium.

Charlotte Independence comes onto the pitch following a 0-1 win against Northern Colorado Hailstorm but will face the Chattanooga Red Wolves on Tuesday, July 16 prior to Saturday’s matchup.

Tormenta’s Alsadiq Hasan, a first year professional, has become a regular face to Tormenta’s 18-man roster. Hasan played a key role in Head Coach Ian Cameron’s defensive line against Lexington Sporting Club and was instrumental in creating goal scoring opportunities.
Keeper Drew Romig, a Tormenta 2 alumnus, made several key saves in the last two matches, maintaining a tied game against Central Valley Fuego and playing an integral role in the win against Lexington SC.
