STATESBORO, Ga. – July 31, 2024 – South Georgia Tormenta FC’s Player of the Month is now open for voting through the Tormenta FC app, available on Apple and Android devices. Tormenta FC’s Sebastián Vivas, Mason Tunbridge, Drew Romig, and Pedro Fonseca are in the running for this month’s award.

Sebastián Vivas, who is currently in third place in the USL League One for goals scored in regular season play, has been a regular face on Tormenta FC’s starting XI in July. Vivas started in three of four matches played in July and scored two goals.
Mason Tunbridge has quickly proven himself as an asset to South Georgia, playing a key role in the win against Charlotte on penalty kicks in the USL Jägermeister Cup. In the last match against Central Valley Fuego, Tunbridge won 100% of his ground and aerial duels.
Pedro Fonseca has played a key role to Head Coach Ian Cameron’s strategy this July. Fonseca netted the final goal against Lexington SC to solidify a Tormenta win, then later scored the first goal against Central Valley Fuego.
Keeper Drew Romig has played a vital role to Tormenta’s backline in July. Romig made several key blocks and diving saves to preserve the win against Lexington SC. The keeper also made a pivotal save against Charlotte Independence during penalty kicks during the USL Jägermeister Cup to assist in the win.
