Previously announced by USA Softball, the 16-player roster is a result of the USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) – also known as the pipeline to the WNT. Working their way through the selection process, the U-15 roster represents eight different regions across the U.S. with Region 5 (Texas, Oklahoma) highlighted by six players, along with two players each from Region 2 (Virginia), Region 4 (Louisiana), Region 6 (Illinois, Kentucky) and Region 7 (Nebraska, Colorado). Regions 1 (Pennsylvania), 10 (Hawaii) and 3 (Tennessee) are also represented by one athlete apiece.
A part of the JWNT program since 2019, Kyla Holas will once again lead the U-15 squad, after previously leading the U-15 WNT to three gold medals during the 2023 season, including a remarkable 7-1 record at the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup, where the Eagles claimed the top spot on the podium. Additionally, Holas recently guided the U-18 WNT to an undefeated run at the 2024 WBSC U-18 Group C Stage Event, securing a place in the 2025 WBSC U-18 World Cup Finals. Former U.S. Olympian Kelly Kretschman will coach alongside Holas in Mexico after assisting at the WBSC U-18 World Cup Group Stage Event last year, while Jillian Callaway (co-head coach of Howard Community College) will join the U-15 WNT staff for the first time in her career after assisting with the USA Softball HPP over the past four years.
