2025 Junior Olympic Cup Set For Polk County

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Junior Olympic Cup is headed to the Sunshine State in 2025 as USA Softball and Visit Central Florida are set to host the elite tournament, Nov. 21-24 at the brand new Bartow Sports Complex in Polk County, Fla.
 
Each division, 16-under and 18-under, will comprise of 16 teams with coaches encouraged to register here. The registration portal will close once all 16 slots are filled.  
 
“We are thrilled for the return of the Junior Olympic Cup to Polk County in the fall of 2025, hosted at the newly renovated Bartow Sports Complex,” Senior Sales and Events Manager for Visit Central Florida Sports, Neal Duncan, said.  
 
Slated to showcase top talent from across the United States, the JO Cup will welcome in athletes, coaches, umpires and fans to one of the most prestigious events in softball. In addition to the tournament, this year’s JO Cup will also feature an All-Star Game and a Prospect Camp.  
 
“This event showcases some of the nation’s softball talent, and we are especially excited for the opportunity these athletes will have to work with members and alumni of the USA Softball National Teams,” Duncan said.  
 
The tournament will consist of pool play and double elimination brackets, all culminating in a championship game to determine the 2025 Junior Olympic Cup champions. The JO Cup will also be the center of attention for college coaches with the best-of-the-best in the country all coming to Polk County with the newly added Prospect Camp allowing coaches to evaluate top talent in the U.S.  
 
USA Softball will be represented in Polk County by national team members and alumni, including catcher and 2020 Olympian Aubree Munro Watson, former women’s national team outfielder and 2020 Olympian Haylie McCleney, and current men’s national team catcher and three-time WBSC Men’s World Champion Nick Mullins.  
 
On Saturday, Nov. 22, the trio will coach select athletes from both divisions in the JO Cup All-Star game with the athletes getting firsthand training from Team USA.  
 
“Our goal is to create a one-of-a-kind experience for these elite athletes, and we look forward to working closely with all involved to make this year’s tournament truly special,” Duncan said.
