ACAPULCO, Mexico — Behind four multi-hit performances and three doubles from the U.S. offense, the U.S. U-15 Women’s National Team (WNT) posted its final win of the 2025 Pan American Championship, defeating Mexico 5-0 to close out the tournament undefeated. Today’s win not only secured the gold medal but also qualified the team for the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Women’s World Cup.

The championship match against Mexico kicked off at 3:30 p.m. MT / 4:30 p.m. CT. Ashleigh Bronowicz stood out offensively for the Eagles, posting a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate. Amiyah Currie, Michaela Landers, and Abby Stenerson also contributed with multi-hit performances (2-for-3). In addition, Bronowicz, Landers, and Khloe Williams each hit a double in the matchup, helping propel the U.S. to victory. Malloree Harr got the start in the circle, recording three K’s through five innings, before Maci Barnes took over in the sixth to seal the shutout win.
Today’s victory marks Team USA’s seventh tournament shutout en route to securing the gold medal with Opening Round wins against Brazil, Argentina, Guatemala, and Venezuela. The U-15 WNT picked up three more wins in Super Round over Mexico, Puerto Rico and Canada to claim the No. 1 seed going into the gold medal matchup. The Eagles displayed dominance throughout the tournament, winning six out of their eight games by run-rule and outscoring opponents 90-2. Leading the U.S. offense through the undefeated campaign was Williams, who posted a .611 batting average, followed by Landers (.600), Melody Soto (.550), and Stenerson (.533). The U.S. pitching staff of Barnes, Leona Eichholz, Harr and Ansley Johnson shined in the eight wins — totaling 64 strikeouts while only giving up two runs through 39 innings.
The Red, White and Blue led the tournament in eight offensive categories and three pitching categories including batting average (Williams – .611), home runs (Eicholtz – 3), RBI (Soto, Williams – 11), stolen bases (Landers – 5), runs (Landers – 13), hits (Landers – 12), triples (Soto – 2), and slugging percentage (Landers – 1.100).
