FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (July 25, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale United FC is excited to announce the addition of former Lipscomb midfielder Kelli Van Treeck to the roster ahead of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season, pending league and federation approval.
“Van Treeck’s engine and athleticism allow her to cover ground effortlessly, making her a key contributor on both sides of the ball,” said Ali Rogers, Associate Head Coach of Fort Lauderdale United FC. “Her composure in possession and ability to strike with precision from distance add another layer to her overall impact in midfield.”
A dominant goalscorer with a relentless engine and a powerful strike, Van Treeck brings a unique profile to Fort Lauderdale’s midfield group. The Lipscomb standout’s attacking instincts, nose for goal and ability to score from distance adds a new dimension to a retooled midfield for Fort Lauderdale United.
“Kelli had an exceptional college career and showed time and again that she can perform at a high level,” said Aly Hassan, General Manager of Fort Lauderdale United FC. “Her ability to consistently impact games through her movement, finishing and overall work rate makes her an exciting addition to our roster.”
A native of Mount Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania, Van Treeck began her collegiate career at Penn State before transferring to Lipscomb. She made an immediate impact in her first season as a Bison, scoring 9 goals and earning All-ASUN First Team honors. After missing most of the following season in 2022, Van Treeck bounced back and dominated her final two campaigns in Tennessee. The forward started 36 matches and tallied 25 goals over that span, earning back-to-back ASUN Player of the Year awards, consecutive All-ASUN First Team selections and All-Region honors in both seasons – First Team in 2022 and Second Team in 2023. Van Treeck concluded her college career and departed Lipscomb as one of, if not, the best players in program history.
A midfielder with a dominant nose for goal, Van Treeck will add another attacking presence to Fort Lauderdale’s midfield as the club gears up for another title chase.
