Roots To Host Monterey Bay In 2022 USL Championship Home Opener On March 26, 2022

Oakland Roots are set to host Monterey Bay FC in the Club’s 2022 USL Championship home opener at Laney College. The game is set for a 7:00 PM kick off on Saturday March 26th as the USL newcomers from California’s central coast head to Oakland. 

“Supporters will play an important role in what we are trying to build this year,” said Head Coach Juan Guerra. “We want to make Laney our fortress and that first game on March 26th, should set the standard and deliver a message about how hard it will be for the other teams to come to play in Oakland.”

The Full 2022 Roots Season schedule will be released in the near future. Roots will open the season away at Rio Grande Valley on March 12th for their respective home opener.
