Oakland, CA – Oakland Roots Sports Club have released the 2022 official first and second kits featuring Anthem Blue Cross as the front of jersey sponsor. In honor of International Women’s Day (March 8th) a portion of all proceeds from the 2022 jerseys will go to the Oakland Roots Justice Fund, the club’s charitable fund to support causes at the intersection of race and gender justice.

The first kit is an ode to all things chrome. From scrapers to scraper bikes to cars and motorcycles, the primary kit pays respect to the things that get us from North to East and West Oakland. The Roots’ second kit pays homage to the Oakland City flag, an iconic colorway that is synonymous with The Town. Oakland’s flag has a canary yellow field, with a green oak tree (including the trunk), wider than it is tall, centered on the middle third of the field. Above the tree, a shallow arch of green block letters proclaims OAKLAND. Centered below the tree and its patch of green ground is 1852 in green.
